I just listened to the Hammers Chat interview with Geo (Aberdeen, an absolute credit, George) and Lee Clayton and found it a very good way to while away an hour as both protagonists were engaging and honest and Geo asked some very tough questions.
I personally can't stand Talksport and fortunately don't have a car so very rarely listen to it. The pundits are mainly ex sportsmen and to be fair when have they been known for dazzling minds? Most pundit's brains are in their boots and if they can nick a few quid winding up loud cockneys for what they must consider good radio they are going to grab at it.
Lee Clayton sounded a decent bloke to me who answered as honestly as he could. He admitted that when he was a writer he felt like he was being judged by neutrals because they knew he was West Ham and could be over critical of us due to that and also admitted that he was probably wrong to write about us like that.
It's obvious that he has no contact with the board and isn't particularly happy with the people at Talksport who have but understands that if people like Jim White, Carlton Cole and Moose want to have access to exclusives coming out of the boardroom they have to keep the cunts upstairs happy. He still didn't seem happy with any of them for doing so.
I feel that after watching that interview I know a tiny bit more about West Ham than before I watched it.
I don't think that you could ask much more than that.

I didn’t hear it personally but Jim White broadcasting that ‘West Ham will only accept offers of over 100m for Declan Rice.’ Where is that coming from? Does he just make it up or is he on commission from Sullivan?

Don't mind Clayton. As for Talksport I don't listen to it anymore since I'm not in the car these days and it got really boring. Those on the show are probably all contractors who are brought in to run radio slots particularly for their ability to stimulate controversy and debate which makes them money.
Jim Whites voice in particular is reason in itself to switch off.

I'm a bit confused.
Why would Clayton voluntarily give an interview to a little known West Ham fansite in order to lie about his relationship with Brady? He said quite clearly, he hasn't spoken to her for four (IIRC)years. There is no sensible risk to reward ratio there for him.
On the other hand, White is a self-serving, self-aggrandizing, ego-maniacal, name-dropping, obsequious cunt. A despicable little man. AAFCOAM, in fact.
Abrahams is just an untalented little fat man who can't believe his luck in landing the job of his dreams and doesn't want to rock the boat by asking awkward questions. To be fair to him, he has been very critical towards the boards actions on occasion.

Clayton may not be a fan of the board but he's pally with Lady Muck who is just as bad as the other two clowns. I don't buy into him claiming he can't do anything at all about the lies and deliberate antagonism White and Abrahams get up to. That is going way beyond keeping sources sweet and Clayton's weak management enables it. Nah fuck him, whatever West Ham DNA he has has been diluted considerably. Especially when compared the lad interviewing him who must spend about 20 hours on a coach getting to every home game

Hammers Chat has stood out for me as the best you tube go to re. West Ham. Geo puts the work, research and passion clearly for Football in, and they get good guests. Gonzo seems a decent fella also.
As said Aberdeen Iron, well done on passing down the pain to your Son, and for what I think are great interviews and shows he does. No ego, unlike a lot of Fans chat on youtube.

Just listened to his interview. Had vaguely heard of him but don't listen to Talk Sport.
I can't see why all the hate? He has very similar opinions to many on here. Anti board, doesn't like the stadium, thinks our scouting network is/was shit, has next to zero contact with G&S.
As head of a radio station he knows that he must remain neutral about ALL teams, not just WH, and he explains that very well.

sydney, what cole & the other examples lee gave are isolated incidents and given when answering a question. white has his own show and uses the show to have a dig at the fans, because of his creepy relationship with the owners. he's not alone, adrian durham did a similar thing to arsenal for years but most of the time he would be attacking the manager/c!ub, rather than the fan. ive been listening to the station for so long that I remember a weekly show that brian moore used to host called 'inside the boardroom' where he'd talk to a top flight chairman/owner. only one ever turned him down, I bet you can guess who
